How JoyRide Motorcycle Taxi Fares Work

Motorcycle taxi fares in Metro Manila follow a distance-based matrix set by the government pilot program. Reports from 2020 put the matrix at ₱50 for the first 2 kilometers, ₱10 per kilometer from the 3rd to the 7th and ₱15 per kilometer after that. A 2026 report said fare petitions for motorcycle taxis and other public transport were still under review, so treat these numbers as a starting point. JoyRide also cut its motorcycle taxi commission from 20 to 18 percent on April 20, 2026, which affects drivers' take-home pay and not the matrix fare.

What Changes Your Fare

Distance-based

Motorcycle taxi fares follow the distance matrix above. The app shows the price before you confirm, and it can differ from the matrix.

Cars price differently

JoyRide Car has its own pricing, and the company has said it has offered its lowest rates yet since early 2026. Compare it with taxis and other car apps for your route.

Priced by distance and size

Delivery fares depend on distance and what you send. Check the quote in the app before you book.

How to Pay Less

Six ways to lower a JoyRide fare
Small habits that lower your fare

Promo codes listed on our JoyRide promo codes page include a first-ride discount of 50 percent up to ₱100 for motorcycle taxi (JOYRIDEMCTAXI or JRMCTAXI) and for JoyRide Car (JOYRIDECAR), a Cebu code (JRTIPIDKAAYO) for 20 percent off up to ₱15, JOYRIDESTUDENT and JOYRIDEPWD for 20 percent off on eligible bookings, and MASMURANA for ₱15 off. Codes, caps and dates change, so read the terms in the app. If a code fails, see our guide to fixing a JoyRide promo code that is not working.

Why Your App Fare May Differ

The matrix is an example

The matrix here is based on a reported 2020 fare table. The app fare can differ because of rules, routes and the service you choose.

Route and distance

The app measures the route it expects you to take, which can be longer than a straight line.
