How to use this calculator
- Enter your rate per kWh. Divide your latest bill by the kWh used if you are not sure.
- Set the number of days in your billing period, usually 30.
- Review the appliance list. Change the type, watts, quantity and hours per day to match your home, and remove the ones you do not use.
- Press Add appliance to include anything else, like a second aircon or a water dispenser.
- Read your estimated monthly bill, then check the ranked list to see which appliance costs the most.
How to estimate and lower your electricity bill
Your electricity bill is mostly energy used, measured in kWh, multiplied by your rate. Each appliance uses power based on its wattage and how long it runs. Air conditioners, water heaters and refrigerators usually make up the biggest share, so knowing their cost tells you where to save first.
This calculator multiplies watts, hours and units for every appliance, then converts the total to pesos. The ranking helps you spot power hogs. Try changing hours or switching from a non-inverter to an inverter aircon to see the effect on your monthly cost.

How the electricity cost is calculated
- Energy use in kWh equals watts times hours per day times days, divided by 1,000, then multiplied by how many units you have.
- Cost equals kWh times your rate per kWh. Your real bill also includes taxes, fees and other charges, which is why we use an all-in rate.
- Wattages shown are typical figures. Check the label on your own appliance, since models vary, and edit the watts if yours differs.
- Refrigerators cycle on and off, so the default is an average draw over 24 hours, not the peak wattage on the label.
Tips to save more
- Set your aircon to 24 to 26 degrees and use a fan to circulate air.
- Switch to LED bulbs and unplug chargers and idle devices.
- Run the washing machine and iron in batches instead of a little at a time.
- Clean aircon filters and keep the refrigerator door closed to reduce wasted energy.
