Maxim: Reach and Low Base Fares
Maxim entered the Philippines in January 2020, starting in Cebu City, and now lists 32 cities in its selector. It covers cars, motorcycle taxi where permitted, delivery and Pabili.
The latest news is the new car rates: ₱45 for a 4-seater and ₱55 for a 6-seater in Davao, General Santos, Tacloban and Tagbilaran. Maxim calculates fares from the shortest route and shows them before you order. Read our full Maxim Philippines guide for cities and safety.
Grab, Angkas and JoyRide in Short

JoyRide bundles motorcycle taxi, JoyRide Car and delivery, with a footprint in provincial areas, see JoyRide Philippines promo codes.

View Maxim Deals →How to Compare Ride App Prices in 4 Steps
- Open two apps and enter the same pick-up and drop-off
- Pick the same vehicle type, such as a 4-seater car
- Screenshot each fare, and note any wait time
- Book the cheaper one, then check the final amount before you pay
Example: if one app shows ₱120 and another ₱95, you save ₱25 a trip, or ₱50 on a round trip. Over a month of daily commutes, that adds up.
Which One Is Best for You?
- Provincial city, car rides: check Maxim first
- Solo motorcycle commute in Metro Manila: compare Angkas and JoyRide
- Groups of four or five: compare a 6-seater car fare, such as Maxim's ₱55 base
- Want to name your own price: try inDrive
- Want to earn instead: see how to apply as a Maxim driver
Bottom Line
No single app is cheapest everywhere. Keep two on your phone, compare the upfront fare and book the lower price. Maxim is a strong second app, especially outside Metro Manila.
